First Snow

…Saturday morning, very early, as I am an early riser…this is the first snow of the season…plows are running the scrape-race down the road, sparks & road chips flying…Christmas weather…and my thoughts turn to knit hats, warm gloves, turned up collars, and the white dusting that will rapidly accumulate on my shoulders once I venture outside…and I see our brick walk is shoveled, the path is clear…Noëlle awaits you…as does our always anticipated egg nog…it is a recipe we have used forever…foamy islands of cream floating gently in a lake of this most traditional drink…lightly spiced and enjoyed with a cookie or two…sit…relax…talk or not…mostly enjoy Noëlle in any way that brings joy to your heart and a smile to your face…stop in for a break during your day…you are welcome at anytime.
